Aston Villa boss Steven Gerrard has revealed that the club's chief executive Christian Purslow will hold talks with the squad on Monday amid a growing number of coronavirus cases in the Premier League.
Tottenham, Leicester and Norwich have all struggled with a growing number of positive coronavirus cases in recent weeks.
The Villa boss did not report any Covid-19 cases at his press conference on Friday but said the players would be briefed after Saturday's match against his former club Liverpool.
'I had a conversation on Thursday with Christian Purslow. He's going to come to the training ground on Monday and address the players in more detail,' Gerrard said.
'But we have been told and warned that things are changing all the time. Just to be careful and look after ourselves.'
The Premier League announced this week that all 20 clubs must re-impose their emergency Covid measures following Tottenham's postponement of their clash with Brighton this weekend due to a high number of positive results.
Spurs beat Norwich 3-0 at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday, before confirming a large number of positive coronavirus cases within their squad.
Days later Canaries boss Dean Smith revealed that his side were anxiously waiting on test results after having a number of 'Covid-related issues'.
'I can't really let you in on any names, but there's a couple of players whom we are worried about, so we have tested and we will wait for the PCR results back on them.
'(They are) just feeling a little bit unwell, not likely to be linked to the game last week with Tottenham. It is just in general, I think (like) with the whole nation, (we are) holding our breaths at the moment,' Smith said.
Leicester City are the third Premier League club to suffer the consequences of an ill-taken squad, with a number of players being left out of their Thursday night defeat to Napoli.
A combination of Covid-19 and other illnesses left the players, who included Ademola Lookman, Kelechi Iheanacho, Ayoze Perez and Daniel Amartey, unable to travel to Italy.
There are already doubts about whether next Thursday's fixture with Tottenham, whose game at Brighton on Sunday has been postponed after eight players and five staff tested positive, will go ahead due to the situation at Spurs.
