Atalanta Coach: Transfer market issues kept ederson out of match

If you were to write a word on the whiteboard in the Bergamo locker room for these past few months, what would it be?

Proud of the work we've done with the players, the club, and the coaching staff. When a season starts poorly, it often goes in a bad direction, but since I arrived, we've done a lot of work to successfully bring Atalanta back to European competitions and reawaken the club's DNA. Undoubtedly, we could have achieved a higher ranking; losing to Juve shattered our dreams, but we gave it our all.

What has Bergamo given you?

It has given me everything I needed, and our work has been recognized with much affirmation and appreciation.

What do you think of the numerous rumors outside?

I have given everything I could; we have completed a very excellent job together. To be honest, I have no regrets. Now we will communicate calmly with the club and make choices that are in Atalanta's best interest.

What was the highlight of this phase? What do you regret?

The highlight was the match against Dortmund because we completed a comeback. My regret is the Coppa Italia semi-final against Lazio.

How does it feel to be back in Florence? Can you explain some of your previous inappropriate remarks?

That sentence I said was exploited. What I meant was, we completed a very excellent job together. 65 points is a lot; it's not easy to get this score, it's a bonus. I also gave my all when I was in Florence, and everyone saw the results. You know why I left. Our ideas were completely different from the previous management, so I chose to leave for my own and the team's benefit. I'd like to believe that my time with Fiorentina is not over yet.

Ederson sat on the bench for 90 minutes; was this his last game?

This was a decision made in consultation with the player himself because there are some situations in the transfer market. It should be a source of pride that a player like him is attracting attention from such important clubs.
