In the FIFA World Cup final held early this morning, Spain defeated Argentina 1-0 after extra time to win the championship, with Baena starting the match.

After Spain defeated Argentina to win the championship, Baena became the first Spanish player in history to win the UEFA European Championship, an Olympic Games gold medal, and the FIFA World Cup.

In the summer of 2024, Baena first joined the senior national team in Germany for the UEFA European Championship, where he ultimately won the title; a few days later, he boarded a flight to Paris for the Olympic Games.

At the Paris Olympics, he became a regular starter for the Spanish Olympic team and scored a spectacular free-kick goal in the final against France, helping secure victory for his team.
