Eric Bailly appeared to confirm Manchester United fans' worst fears as he was pictured in a wheelchair following his injury against Tottenham on Thursday.
The centre back was visibly upset in Shanghai when he was carried off the field on a stretcher, he later left the stadium on crutches and with a knee brace.
And on Friday the Ivorian was pictured looking extremely disheartened as he was wheeled through the airport as the squad alighted their flight at Manchester.
It is yet another setback for the defender, who since moving to Old Trafford in 2016 has missed 34 games through three separate injuries.
