Bale, Ceballos conspicuously absent from Sergio Ramos photo

As he celebrated his 550th Real Madrid game, captain Sergio Ramos posted a photo of himself with most - but not all - of his team-mates.

Sergio Ramos made his 550th appearance for Real Madrid in Wednesday's LaLiga victory at Leganes, and celebrated the milestone in the dressing room at Butarque.

Bale, Ceballos nowhere to be seen in group pic

The defender took to social media after the 3-1 win to post a photograph of himself posing with his Real team-mates and holding a commemorative shirt marking the occasion. However, two men are conspicuous by their absence from the group snap: Gareth Bale and Dani Ceballos.

Bale benched, Ceballos limited to 30 seconds on the pitch

Luca Zidane and Borja Mayoral are also missing, but the lack of Bale and Ceballos stands out. Having been named on the bench for last week's Champions League clash with Paris Saint-Germain, the Welshman was again a substitute, while Ceballos had to settle for the briefest of run-outs.

The former Real Betis man was restricted to a 30-second appearance in time added on, despite Real having a host of players unavailable for the game, and head coach Zinedine Zidane taking the opportunity to rotate his team in the LaLiga week 16 fixture.

Neither will have been in the mood to celebrate.
