Mario Balotelli praised Lionel Messi after his 600th goal for Barcelona, but “for the good of football please don’t compare him to” Cristiano Ronaldo again.
The Italy international was watching tonight’s Champions League semi-final, which saw Barca beat Liverpool 3-0 at Camp Nou with a Messi brace.
‘The Flea’ took his career tally to 600 goals for the club with a stunning free kick into the top corner.
Balotelli posted his thoughts on the matter via Instagram Stories.
“For the good of football, please don’t compare him to Juve’s Number 7 again.”
The reference was to Juventus star Cristiano Ronaldo.

I just understand the fact that Ronaldo success annoys a aimless player like Balotelli. When CR7 scored hattrick twice against ATM, 5 gaols against Bayern, 2 goals in final against Juve. He also manage to bagged 3 goals with sensational kicks against almighty Spain but no single sensible goon applaud the man and moreover, we don't want stupid player to say razzmatazz against him. When he won 3 straight UCL with highest goal scorer, this man was busy selling drugs. He should let us enjoy Messi performance but polluted the atmosphere with blunder and started saying rubbish. He's second goon will also come out from his cave and say thrash after 3 goals from Ronaldo denied him from playing in WC. Ronaldo n messi both are legends of this era... undisputed kings ... And as we fans r divided we will keep comparing them even after they stop playing.. So comparing 600th goal in the no. of matches played one would also keep in mind how many tranfers the player has undergone.. as we all know (we includes those who understand football) that it takes little time for a player to settle in a new club .. U might be the tiger of land but u should go and show your hunting skills in the water(if only u have that ; otherwise focus on land ) And now u all understood what i m pointing on.. You people have no idea how hard it is to adapt to 3 different teams, 3 different leagues, and to be in top form in all of them. You are right, you cannot compare. Messi never left Barcelona, his entire carreer he had a team with top class players playing for him. Xavi and Iniesta were beasts. And Barca were and still are very united, like a family. Real Madrid is the opposite, great players but no chemestry. Messi is in fact out of this planet, but I don't see him playing this good in another club. While Ronaldo managed to do it twice, and at old age is doing well in his third club. Not counting with Sporting.
