Barça may change operator again as German fund Libero drags feet to avoid paying

Barça is willing to change operator if the German fund does not pay. There is already someone interested.

Barcelona is desperately looking for the 60 million that it has not been able to enter because of the levers related to the sale of Barça Studios. This lack of income has caused the first football team to in urgent cases when signing in the last market window and that in order to register the players the Directive has had to guarantee a value of 12 million euros so that signings such as Cancelo and Joao Félix could register in LaLiga.

The club was confident in the summer that Libero, the German fund that should provide the millions, would end up paying, but it was not like that. The Germans, aware of the situation that Barcelona was experiencing and the urgency to receive that money to be able to register players, pressed a lot in their conditions. Among them, the IPO of that section of Barça immediately, something that the club did not contemplate.

Once the market closed, the scenario has changed. The club is no longer in such a hurry to close the deal and have set the end of the season to obtain that financing and be able to return to the rule one by one in terms of signings. Libero continues to drag its feet to avoid paying so the Barça Directive has decided to look for other operators who are willing to assume the expense.

Libero had promised to pay before the market closed. Barcelona is willing to break the agreement with them if they do not decide to pay when they find other operators. And in the club they assure that "there are several interested".

The German fund Libero bought 29.5% of Barça Studios that were owned by Jaume Roures and Socios.com. These companies had requested a deferral in the payment of the money to Barça so the Board sought other forms of financing to need the money to register players. The problem is that Libero didn't pay.
