Over the last 12-18 months, Vinicius Junior has been targeted on several occasions with racist abuse, a situation that reached boiling point back in May after another instance during Real Madrid’s match against Valencia at the Mestalla.
Depressingly, it appears that Vinicius was the target of another case of racist abuse against Sevilla on Saturday, with pictures emerging of a fan aiming monkey gestures in the direction of the 23-year-old.
After the match, Vinicius called again for changes to be made so that these incidents do not happen again – to him or anyone else. However, it appears that not everyone sympathises with the Brazilian, as Mikel Camps – who is Deputy Spokesperson of Barcelona’s Board of Directors – taking to X to criticise the Real Madrid forward.
“It is not racism, he deserves a slap for being a clown. What do these unnecessary and meaningless bicycle kicks represent in the centre of the field?”
The notion that Vinicius brings this racist abuse on himself is utterly ridiculous. No one deserves this kind of treatment, especially just because they are a football player that you don’t like. It is a sad, sad situation that Spanish football finds itself in.

They are many other great black players that don’t suffer racist abuses because they are humble and sensible players

I'm a Madrid fan. And i admit, Vinicius need to Maintain his attitude. . Nowadays, he become too much annoying. He should ignore the crowd and build strong Mentality and be Respectful. the abuse will go away very soon if he just ignore them. He is not the only black player on the pitch. . Every young footballer needs to learn from CR7. his mentality made haters cry.

To all those saying he's targetted coz of his arrogance - there is no justification for racial abuses. Arrogance will result in backlash, but he's getting in the form of racial abuse just coz he's black. There are so many players who shows arrogance to opposition players & crowd - Cr7, Messi, Zlatan - since none of them are black, they don't face racial abuse. So stop justifying racism

So those step overs are only okay when done by Barca players? U guys once had Ronaldinho, Neymar, Ronaldo Nazario and many more Samba boys who possessed the similar style of play of Vini... But we as Los Blancos never had problems with that...Or is this ur way as a barca member to acknowledge Vini in an indirect way🤣🤣...The boy is just a dribbling Wizard...But i can assure u that he will be better than the players whom i have mentioned above...We once felt that pain when Ronaldinho and Neymar practiced witchcraft in the field of play but never had the problems with that, entlekk we loved witnessing the beauty of Brazilian football culture .Just cut the bullshit and leave our Samba prince alone🐐 ..ASI GANA EL MADRID.👑💎🐐🖤🤍💪
