Barcelona are facing a nervous wait to see if and by how much they are able to strengthen their side in the summer. They have delivered their financial accounts to La Liga, with the period to do so expiring on Tuesday.
As reported by RAC1, and carried by MD, Barcelona have submitted their accounts to La Liga, who will now have several weeks to evaluate the information, and calculate their salary limit. There has been optimism of late in Catalonia that they could return to within their limit this summer, having been over €200m in excess of their current €204m limit. Clubs who are over their limit can only use 50% of the expenses they move off their accounts, and 60% of the transfer fees they receive, to put towards registering new players.
Recent reports indicate that Barcelona could be interested in loaning out Vitor Roque this summer, who has not been playing much under Xavi Hernandez, but no doubt that move would be made with his impact on the salary limit in mind. The 19-year-old forward was signed for €30m plus €31m in variables, and was only registered as an emergency signing in the place of Gavi, who was injured for the rest of the season. As things stand, Barcelona will have to register him for next season as a new signing still.

Only Madrid and Girona don’t need relief, but every other team does. Villareal was developing in to good club but they had to sell due to strict regulations and now look what happened to them. Same with Sevilla. Barca also suffered a lot due to FFP. But unlike in Spain, France and England allowed some relief by their presidents. If you consider the quality of La Liga it’s declining exponentially as clubs focus on balancing books. No other league has this much strict regulation when comes to FFP. Tebas is just trying to drain Barca as he only cares about Madrid.
Wow so much incorrect with what you said. Besides that you provided no proof and just made statements to be presumably facts. There are 6 La liga clubs still struggling from the impact of COVID; Barcelona, Valencia, Villarreal, Sevilla, and Celta Vigo. Not every other team, as you claimed. Also the “relief” you’re talking about was easing financial restrictions DURING COVID. Some that La Liga implemented as well. Also the idea that’s La Liga is “exponentially” declining, isn’t supported by the increase in both viewership and revenue…both have “exponentially” recovered to preCOVID levels. 2024 figures aren’t out yet. But from last 2 seasons, viewership increased by 27% and total income by 17%. Now let’s suppose what you said was true, which I just proved it’s not. But let’s suppose. Why was Madrid able to get through the COVID crisis, but not Barca? Girona is a small club with a lack of global presence and therefore commercial interests. But Madrid and Barca don’t have that excuse. If anything Tebas should be sympathetic to small clubs in La Liga, but Barca wouldn’t qualify.

So you recommend Tebas ignored FFP compliance ? Theres no relief offered to Madrid, Madrid doesn’t require “relief” they are fiscally responsible. Covid affected all La Liga clubs, why is it that Barca should receive special treatment? By that logic , Real Madrid should be rewarded for coming out of COVID without the financial problems that Barca are going through.

Did Tebas approve the Laporta economic levers? Didn’t Tebas approve Laporta’s plan to resign Messi?

Tebas is like a dictator! Legally he is not doing anything wrong, but he is the fucking president! He should look after the best interests of the league and instead of that he tried to drain La Liga clubs. In every other league they allowed financial relief with chaos started after Covid. But tebas is restricting clubs even further. He will only allow some relief only if his beloved Madrid gets into trouble.

Barca will have to sell half of the team to be able to balance the book.
