Just wanted to make my point that sterling was underperforming in the beginning of the season because he played a lot of minutes in the euros which affects most players,not him alone.
players rest and allow their bodies to recuperate. when you go deep into a international tournament you dont get enough rest and you start your pre season late which means you not up to speed with the rest of the team in terms of fitness. eg grlish, sterling, sancho , Jorginho, Rashford, kane all look to be chasing the game . Italy havnt called some of their best players who won the euros because they need rest
