Barcelona are determined to land Ajax wonderkids Frenkie de Jong and Matthijs de Ligt, after 'falling in love' with the in-form duo.
De Jong and De Ligt have been attracting the interest of a host of elite European clubs recently, after each breaking their way into the Holland national team.
Both players starred recently against reigning world champions France, after starting the game and helping their side to a 2-0 victory.
Spanish publication Mundo Deportivo ran with the headline 'De Ligt and De Jong Enamoran' while highlighting how much more De Jong touched the ball than the likes of Kylian Mbappe, Antoine Griezmann and Olivier Giroud combined.
De Jong himself recently admitted how 'flattered' he was to learn of Barcelona's interest in him.
'I'm flattered that Barça is thinking about me,' the playmaker told Mundo Deportivo.
'At the end of the season we will decide my future.'
Ajax director Overmars is no stranger to the Dutch club losing their top talent when the superpowers come calling, and recently admitted the difficulty the side faces in these kind of positions.
'It will be a difficult job to keep the players, as I have told you many times,' he said during a meeting of shareholders.
'The newspapers write about our players daily. I can enjoy the group of players we have now, but it is impossible to maintain such a group for four years.'

Frenkie is in no way near ready for even being a regular sub for Barca He's extremely talented, and obviously a Barca type player, but he's not particularly consistent for us, and he's only started like 15 games at that. He needs to really put his mark on every game of ours this season before Barca should even be thinking of putting him on their bench, and even then... I completely understand them wanting to lock him up now and get ahead of the future competition. But turning it into some big objective to make the transfer window a success seems bizarre
