According to exclusive news from Spanish media outlet LaSexta, Barcelona hopes to sign former youth player, Chelsea full-back Cucurella.
LaSexta journalist Jota Jordi said in the program: "The Barcelona management has started to discuss a player intensely in the last two days. He knows Barcelona very well and used to play for the Barcelona youth academy. Furthermore, he once stated that if he could join Barcelona, he would not hesitate. The team is discussing Cucurella, and the management has started discussing this matter in the last two days. I think Cucurella is a rather serious option for Barcelona."
Cucurella debuted at La Masia and joined Chelsea from Brighton in 2022, and has already secured a place as a key player for Chelsea. In an interview, Cucurella once stated bluntly that if there was an opportunity to join Barcelona, it would be difficult for him to refuse.
