Barcelona defender Clement Lenglet is set to leave the club this summer following his loan return from Premier League side Aston Villa.

La Blaugrana were open to selling the France international to Villa during the January transfer window, but no deal emerged.

However, after forcing his way into Unai Emery’s starting plans for the second half of the campaign, hopes of a permanent switch were revived.

As Villa opted against retaining him, Lenglet has headed back to Barcelona, with two years left on his contract in Catalonia.

Barcelona are still keen to remove him from their squad, to release funds and salary space, and there is rumoured interest from Italy and England.

As per the latest from Diario Sport, new West Ham United boss Julen Lopetegui is keen on bringing him to the London Stadium.

As it stands, all interested parties are considering loans, but Barcelona will request a fee and a mandatory purchase option in 2025.
