Ruthless Barcelona have placed Frenkie de Jong, Marc-Andre ter Stegen and Sergino Dest on the transfer list in the wake of their shocking Champions League exit, reports in Spain have claimed.
Xavi Hernandez's side needed to beat Bayern Munich this week to keep their European dreams alive, but they fell to a limp 3-0 defeat instead and were sent crashing, in embarrassing fashion, into the Europa League.
And just days after the humiliation, the club look to have already sprung into action ahead of the winter window by preparing to axe three first-team regulars.
Both De Jong and Ter Stegen are surprise names on the chopping block, with the former a regular face in midfield and the latter still their No 1 goalkeeper.
But new boss Xavi has unsurprisingly been left unimpressed with the performances from several members of his squad, and is willing to be cutthroat in his overhaul.
The sensational news has come from journalist Gerard Romero, via his Twitch stream, and he says that Barcelona are now willing to cash in on the trio.
Ter Stegen has come under fire in particular over recent months, having been criticised for a number of calamitous and high-profile mistakes between the sticks.
Meanwhile, The Independent have gone as far as to claim that the ever-silky De Jong is a player on United's radar, if he does - as expected - be put up for sale.
Recently, though, Xavi waved away reports that the 24-year-would would be considered surplus to requirements over the coming week.
He said: 'Our goal is for Frenkie to be happy here. We desperately need that type of player.
'He is definitely not in the shop window, rather the opposite. The idea is to make him stronger here.'
Speaking after his side were dumped out of the Champions League at the very first hurdle, Xavi admitted that his team were outfought.
'Bayern dominated us,' he said. 'We always want to dominate but it was the opposite here. We must demand more. We're Barca.
'This must be a point of inflection to change the dynamic and many more things.
'This is the Champions League, but this is also our reality. It's the situation we're in.
'I'm angry. This is the reality and it p***** me off. We have to tackle it face on. There's nothing else for it.
'A new era starts today. We start from zero. Our objective is the Champions League, not the Europa League, but that is our reality now and we have to try and win it.'

you need mental therapy. so when barca wins its because of messi, but when they lose its because the team didn't step up. give me your address so that I can send a local ambulance from the mental asylum your way
