Barcelona ponder Neymar alternatives

Barcelona have made it clear that they will bolster their squad in the next transfer window with an attacking player the priority.

The Catalan giants have already mentioned the possible return of Neymar to the Camp Nou but also have other possibilities.

The Blaugrana are looking for a No.9 to add to their squad, a void they have needed to fill since the departure of Luis Suarez last summer.

In addition to the aforementioned Neymar, the Barcelona management are also pondering a move for one of the following three players.

Erling Haaland

The Borussia Dortmund striker is on Joan Laporta's wishlist but the new president of Barcelona may be outpriced for the striker as the German club will demand around 180 million euros.

Real Madrid, Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United and PSG have also voiced their interest in the striker, which could make it difficult for Barcelona to sign their man. Nevertheless, he is Barcelona's first choice.

Lautaro Martinez

The Argentine was a target for Barcelona last summer, but Inter didn't want the striker to leave, despite negotiations between the two clubs lasting months.

The player wanted to play alongside Lionel Messi and it may be good for Inter Milan to sell Martinez this summer as they are currently feeling the economic pressure due to the pandemic.

Sergio Aguero

The striker will not be renewing his contract with Manchester City and would therefore be a free transfer this summer.

Aguero is close friends with Messi and should the captain renew his contract with Barcelona, both would like to play in the same team as each other.

Juventus are also thought to be keen on the Manchester City striker.
