According to Spanish outlet La Sexta reporter Jose Alvarez Haya, Barcelona are expected to make a move for Arsenal striker Viktor Gyokeres in the coming hours.
The report claims that Barcelona see Gyokeres as a replacement for Ferran Torres after his departure to Paris Saint-Germain, and they will now inquire about the Swedish star's transfer conditions.
The 28-year-old Gyokeres joined Arsenal from Sporting CP last summer for €66.9 million. Last season, he made 55 official appearances for the Gunners, starting 40 of them, scoring 21 goals and providing 3 assists.

If this is true, barca has the key to unlock gyokerez negotiation because arteta is desperately in need of versatile defender who can play as right back and centre back, so deco did notices barca have one. If this is true and kounde is open to move on, barca will unlock the 2 transfer targets (kounde and alvarez) for arsenal and hence gyokeres will join barca simultaneously

The plan is to force atletico to release alvarez must so that if barca cant get him let arsenal have him. I beleive if alvarez is once again open to leave, gunners as well will open the door for gyokeres and if it have arsenal cant spend €135-150m for alvarez let alone atletico have no option to sell unless the can open to negotiate with barca.
