Barcelona want to renew Ter Stegen's contract as soon as possible (Marca)

Barcelona have been working on renewing Marc-Andre ter Stegen's contract for the last few months.

The goalkeeper, who is in his sixth season at the Camp Nou, is an integral part of the current squad and is much loved by the club and fans alike.

On a personal level, the 27-year-old has integrated well into life in Catalonia and feels like just another normal person.

A good sign for Barcelona is that he's currently having a house built in Castelledefels, while he and his partner are awaiting the birth of their first child.

Despite six months of contract talks, Barcelona and Ter Stegen still haven't reached an agreement and, although there's still plenty of time, the club would rather get it done as soon as possible.
