Barcelona are set to consider a summer swoop for Alexandre Lacazette if Antoine Griezmann rejects them for a second year in a row.
The Atletico Madrid star has long been a target for Barca but chose to stay put last year.
His £151million release clause will drop to £91m on July 1, and Barca will be interested if he opts to drop his wage demands.
But Lacazette has emerged as a back-up choice if a deal for Griezmann cannot be done, according to Mundo Deportivo.
The Arsenal striker shares an agent with Barcelona director of football Eric Abidal and has proved a success in England since moving from Lyon in 2017.
He has scored 35 times in 85 appearances in two years, and his double on Thursday night put the Gunners on the brink of reaching the final of the Europa League.
Barcelona would be required to pay a fee close to the £53m that Arsenal spent to bring him to the Premier League.
Griezmann, though, remains first choice after another outstanding season at the Wanda Metropolitano.
He has passed 20 goals in a season for the fifth year in succession under Diego Simeone.
He has scored 21 times in 43 appearances for Atleti this season.

He could be useful for Barcelona, replacing Suarez soon. You did the same thing with Umtiti, and he was great, until he was stopped by his injury.

Imo if we get 100 million for lacazette then we should cash in and buy a world class winger....Auba would do the job upfront

This is no slight on Lacazette but If they offer £80m, I’d say take it and reinvest in areas we need the most. I would consider a swap deal involving Dembele too. Emery favours 4-3-3 and ultimately this will determine the shape of the squad going forward.

Lacazette is worth a lot more than 70m in today's market, if we sell him for that to Barcelona of all clubs we are so retarded. Also not mentioning he's our best player.
