Barcelona win LaLiga title for the 1st time since 2019, in Xavi's first season

Barcelona were crowned LaLiga champions after they defeated their bitter city rivals Espanyol 4-2, with Xavi clinching the title in his first full season in charge at the club.

Robert Lewandowski inspired the side to the victory, scoring a well taken brace of strikes either side of a goal from Alejandro Balde.

Jules Kounde also got on the scoresheet for the Blaugrana, who secured their first Spanish league title since 2019.

But there were some unsavoury scenes after the match as Espanyol fans invaded the pitch to tarnish Barcelona's celebrations chasing them off the field.
