Match Events
9'GOAL! Bayern 1-0 Nürnberg (Lewandowski)
GOOOOAAALLL!! Bayern 1-0 Nurnberg! Bayern make the breakthrough at the Allianz Arena, and it is through their leading marksman Lewandowski. Kimmich sends a corner in from the left and the Polish striker is there to glance it past Bredlow, who was caught in two minds.
15' CHANCE! Ribery's shot blocked
SAVE! Bredlow was perhaps at fault for Bayern's opener, being caught in the middle of nowhere by Lewandowski, but he produces a good save to push away a deflected shot from Ribery.
27'GOAL! Bayern 2-0 Nürnberg (Lewandowski)
GOOOAAALLL!! Bayern 2-0 Nurnberg! Lewandowski bags his second goal of the contest, this time finding the net from eight yards with an instinctive finish. Goretzka's long-range drive cannons back off the crossbar and Lewandowski is in the right place at the right time to help the rebound into an empty net.
56'GOAL! Bayern 3-0 Nürnberg (Ribery)
GOOOOAAALLL! Bayern 3-0 Nurnberg! Well if it was not game over beforehand it certainly is now, courtesy of this maiden league goal of the campaign for Ribery. Bredlow has another shocker as he clears the ball as far as Gnabry, who brings the ball forward and tests the keeper when the angle is against him. The ball falls favourably for Ribery in the middle to convert through the legs Bredlow, however - his first goal since March.
Match Report
Nuremberg must have expected the worse when Lewandowski met a Joshua Kimmich corner to give Bayern the lead inside nine minutes. The pressure was relentless as Fabian Bredlow kept out a deflected effort from Ribery. Lewandowski fluffed his lines when clean through, but made amends with his next attempt, doubling his tally from close range after Leon Goretzka’s 18-yard strike had crashed back off the upright. It might have been more, too, with Thomas Müller testing Bredlow, and Lewandowski volleying agonisingly wide.
The half-time break provided only momentary respite for Nuremberg. After Kimmich forced a reaction save out of Bredlow that opposite number Manuel Neuer would have been proud of, Bayern made it three. Bredlow was at fault, passing straight to Serge Gnabry, and despite recovering in time to block the winger’s initial effort, could only help Ribery’s fierce follow-up into the net. Bayern substitute Kingsley Coman threatened a fourth and Kimmich rattled the woodwork, before match referee Tobias Stieler put Nuremberg out of their misery.

Satisfying. Like drinking water in a hot day while thirsty. You know how you jam all the buttons and try all the combos in a game and finally find the combo that you just stick to cause it's the best instead of trying a new one every time? We've founded the Big Bang Kamehameha with Kimmich's crosses/corners and Lewy's head. knock on wood You think Kimmich will stay rb when the midfield gang are back? I feel like he might be played like Milner, where he plays midfield and fullback in and out, no problem. We sort of have the same situation don't we? Stacked midfield and a versatile fullback/mf, and he's too good to miss a chance playing there.
