Luis Diaz scored a 93rd-minute winner for Bayern Munich as they beat St. Pauli 3-1 to move eight points clear at the Bundesliga summit.
Match Report
Raphael Guerreiro cancelled out Andreas Hountondji's opener for St. Pauli before Diaz and Nicolas Jackson both found the back of the net in stoppage time at the Allianz Arena.
The home fans would have been hoping for a win after their loss to Arsenal during the week, but they were silenced after just six minutes when Hountondji was slipped through on goal by Pereira Lage and beat Manuel Neuer at the near post.
Bayern pushed for an equaliser, with Lennart Karl and Tom Bischof both striking the woodwork, but they found the leveller through Guerreiro on the stroke of half-time. Luis Diaz managed to find Guerreiro in the box with an improvised pass, allowing the defender to smash home from close range.
Bischof went close again for Vincent Kompany's side, but failed to test Nikola Vasili with his volley at the back post, before Harry Kane saw a shot blocked after the hour mark as Bayern enjoyed the majority of possession.
Kane struck the inside of the left post with 10 minutes to go, but Diaz then headed past Vasili from Joshua Kimmich's cross before Jackson also slotted past the goalkeeper from a quick counter-attack to secure all three points at home.
Data Debrief: Goals galore for Bayern
Incredibly, all four shots on target in the match ended up as goals. Bayern created 2.68 expected goals from 19 shots, while St. Pauli accumulated 0.6 from 10 attempts.
Despite hitting the frame of the goal three times, Bayern continued their strong form against their counterparts. They have now won 10 of their last 11 matches against St. Pauli, with the only loss in that run coming in February 2002.
Bayern have also scored multiple goals in their 20th consecutive Bundesliga match, equalling the competition record as only Bayern themselves had previously such a long run in 2013-14 under Pep Guardiola.
Neuer would have been hoping to keep a clean sheet in what was a landmark appearance for the shot-stopper. He made his 534th Bundesliga appearance, equalling Eike Immel in second place among the most capped goalkeepers in the competition's history. Only Oliver Kahn has played more Bundesliga matches (557).
