Thomas Muller plundered a hat-trick as Bayern Munich romped to a 6-1 Audi Cup win against Fenerbahce at the Allianz Arena on Tuesday.
Match Reports
Niko Kovac's side were in ruthless mood against their desperately poor Super Lig opponents, with Renato Sanches, Leon Goretzka and Kingsley Coman adding to Muller's treble.
Max Kruse gave the visiting support something to cheer with a 64th-minute consolation strike, but it did little to take the shine off a consummate attacking performance by the reigning Bundesliga champions.
Bayern – who face Borussia Dortmund in the DFL-Supercup on Saturday – will take on Tottenham in the final on Wednesday, while Fenerbahce will have to pick themselves up for a third-place tie against Real Madrid on the same day.

my observations: 1) Renato still has a chance. Sanches was everywhere tonight. his forward runs were always on point and overall his performance was superb. is there a chance we'll see the sanches bayern thought they'd see when he signed back in 2016? 2) complete control. this game never looked hard for bayern. Thiago was placing passes with ease, sanches and goretzka were making run after run and Muller and coman kept finding spaces in the wide areas. fenerbahce were completely run over. 3) could this formation work? kovac again deployed the 4-3-3. Bayern didn't start with Muller but he came on early to replace the injured Gnabry. the formation worked pretty well and bayern were finding it easy to create chances. defending remains a slight problem though. 4) RAMDEUTER ALERT. What a performance from the one and only Thomas Muller. Who says he can't play on the wing? He was absolutely brilliant, creating and finding spaces, picking out passes and showing his greatness by talking with dirar to convince him to stay on the pitch. that final goal summed up his performance. 5) Real tests to come. With all due respect, Fenerbahce aren't really a tricky side to beat. we'll get to see how good bayern really are against spurs tomorrow and in the supercup against Dortmund. all in all, this seems promising.
