Bayern, Juventus and PSG are interested in Konaté for free; He's open to options

Recently, according to reports from Fraser Fletcher of English media outlet TEAMtalk, Bayern Munich, Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus have expressed interest in Liverpool defender Ibrahima Konaté.

Konaté's future at Liverpool remains uncertain, with Bayern Munich and Juventus both monitoring the 26-year-old French defender whose contract expires next summer.

Sources close to the player confirm he is "open to various options" and keen to embrace a new challenge, provided the contract terms match his ambitions – placing greater pressure on Anfield's hierarchy to secure a swift renewal or risk losing him for nothing.

Bayern Munich view him as an ideal defensive reinforcement, with Vincent Kompany having already agreed a move. Meanwhile, Juventus under Spalletti urgently require defensive reinforcement, believing Konaté's aerial dominance and ball-playing ability would suit Serie A tactics perfectly.

Nevertheless, Liverpool remain proactive. Sources indicate the club intends to negotiate a "short-term extension" (potentially 12 to 18 months) to safeguard his value and buy time for succession planning.

Sporting director Richard Hughes is keen to avoid repeating the mistake made with Matip, when the key centre-back departed on a free transfer. However, sources maintain a pragmatic stance on this matter.

Bayern Munich's financial muscle and Champions League pedigree make them favourites, though Juventus may tempt Konaté with immediate first-team opportunities – something not guaranteed in Bavaria. Paris Saint-Germain have also expressed discreet interest.
