Bayern once made transfer offer to Neymar in 2013, says his ex-agent Ribeiro

That would have been a mega transfer: As Neymar's ex-agent Wagner Ribeiro has now said in a conversation with ESPN, Bayern is said to have made a transfer offer for Neymar in 2013. In the end, however, they chose Mario Götze.

Instead, BVB rising star Mario Götze moved to Bayern for the fixed transfer fee of 37 million euros in summer 2013: "Because he wanted a similar player, we came up with Mario Götze," said Hoeneß.
