Bayern Munich's 6-1 win over Atalanta came at a cost, as the club confirmed Alphonso Davies, Jonas Urbig and Jamal Musiala all sustained injuries in Tuesday's contest.
Vincent Kompany's side cruised to victory at New Balance Arena in the first leg of their last 16 tie in the Champions League, with Michael Olise starring for the Bundesliga leaders.
But Urbig, Davies and Musiala are now set for a spell on the sidelines, with no indication of how long they would be out of the team specified by the club in its statement.
Musiala and Urbig were both injured in second-half stoppage time, with the latter colliding with Nikola Krstovic before Mario Pasalic scored Atalanta's 93rd-minute consolation.
In the 71st minute, Davies, who had only come on at the break, was forced off with what has now been confirmed as a muscle strain in his right thigh by Bayern's medical team.
The Canadian international had teed up Olise for his second of the match just seven minutes before being withdrawn, and he left the pitch in tears having already missed the start of the 2025-26 season as he recovered from an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury.
Musiala missed the first half of the season after breaking his ankle at the Club World Cup.
Bayern's impressive victory has all but ensured their place in the quarter-finals.
They netted at least six goals in an away European knockout round match for just the second time, after beating Legia Warsaw 7-3 in the UEFA Cup First Round in October 1988.
Kompany's team are next in action on Saturday in the Bundesliga, and they will be hoping to stretch their 11-point lead at the top of the table by beating Bayer Leverkusen.
