David Beckham has criticised the actions of some Manchester United players during their post-season tour of south-east Asia.
United travelled to Asia straight after the end of the Premier League season, having recorded their worst-ever finish in 15th and lost to Tottenham in the Europa League final.
The aim of the tour was to raise money and connect with fans on the other side of the world, with friendlies in Malaysia and Hong Kong, though Beckham branded Alejandro Garnacho and Amad Diallo's behaviour "unacceptable".
Garnacho appeared to get involved in an altercation and pushed a fan who was filming him, while Diallo swore at another who he said had made offensive comments about his mother.
"I don't like seeing what's happening at the club," said Beckham, while speaking to CBS Sports.
"It's true that it's the pitch that matters, but I see a lot of things that are not acceptable to me as a fan and a lover of Manchester United.
"You have to represent the badge. I've seen a lot of things where players didn't act in the right way.
"We understood what it meant to play for Manchester United. We understood what the badge meant.
"Everywhere we travelled, whether in Europe or Asia, we respected the fans. We respected the fact that they came and paid money to see us, to get an autograph or to take pictures. You have to respect that."
United's players were booed following a 1-0 defeat to a south-east Asian All-Stars team in their first post-season friendly in Malaysia.
Manager Ruben Amorim said that his players needed to hear the jeers before Chido Obi restored some respectability by coming off the bench to score a double in a 3-1 win in Hong Kong, though they did initially go a goal down in that game, too.

Those young players in today’s game have no clue what respect is because they think they are bigger than anyone else and they haven’t accomplished anything yet so they should be humble

both should be kicked out of Man utd coz Amad is being influenced by Garnacho. even I don't like these types of behaviours. These guys should understand that Man utd is a global brand and no players is bigger than the club even during these doomdays. players should understand that they are nothing without the fans. all the revenues come from then they buy tickets, TV rights, and merchandise.
How sure are you that the players are misbehaving without a reason? Some of those fans are not United fans, they are there to cause problems to our players who are already going through tough times. It's a psychological move by rival fans to break down our players hood moral.
