DAVID BECKHAM has told Manchester United’s flops he hopes they’re suffering just as much as the fans, after yet another battering from City.
The Old Trafford legend says watching the Red Devils lose to their noisy neighbours has become a “hard watch” and admits he's "fed up" with the team’s decline.
Beckham told CBSSportsGolazo: “Being an ex-player and a fan I would hope that they are hurting like we are as fans.
"And I’m sure they are, because they’re not going out there not wanting to win games.”
United were thumped 3-0 at the Etihad in the latest derby-day humiliation, despite the club backing boss Ruben Amorim with the signings of Benjamin Sesko, Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo.
The Portuguese coach replaced Erik ten Hag, who was axed after a disastrous first half of the 2024/25 campaign.
But Becks says it doesn’t matter who’s in charge, the players need to feel the same pain as the supporters do.
He continued: “They’ve just come up against a team like Manchester City at Manchester City.
"And when you lose a game like that, you don’t go out for a while, because if you do, you’ll just bump into United fans.”
Beckham, who unlike many of his former team-mates rarely speaks out about Manchester United's problems, added: “It was a very hard watch.
"And like I said, as a United fan, I’m kinda fed up with watching these games and seeing what we’re seeing.”
United fans are growing restless as another season threatens to spiral.
And with performances flatlining and results worsening, Beckham’s brutal honesty may only echo the wider mood around Old Trafford.
Butt said on The Good the Bad and the Football podcast: “If he wants to get results and keep his job in the long run, he is going to have to bite the bullet and change a bit – otherwise they’ll keep losing games."
While Scholes said the manager has got them playing like robots: “There’s nobody in there to take responsibility, there’s experienced players there but nobody gets a grip of it.They’re like robots.”
Under Amorim, Manchester United have made the worst start to a Prem season since 1992 – with just four points from their first four matches.

The problem is that why can't Amorin try even for once to change his usual formation of playing 3 at the back to a more modern formation of 4-3-3, 4-2-3-1 or 4-4-2 since he knows quite sure that his desired old formation is not producing fruitful results match in match out? The dude is simply arrogant and afflicted with so much ego. He don't just want to accept defeat of his failed idea. Every match requires different approach with different formation base on the particular situation of the match. And a switch of the formation can take place immediately once the initial one refused to work well as the match proceeds. His attitude is not just about being stubborn, it's insensitivity and devilishness!!!

No one will be happy and comfortable with the current Manchester United's growing problem. Even rival teams and their fans are already tired of this long standing underwhelming situation at Manchester United. Because they believe that there's no more fierceness in the rivalry as every team goes in into match against Manchester United with the hope of winning the encounter comfortablely whether playing at home or away. It's just too painful to us wallahi 😭😭😭😭😭😭💔💔💔💔 And you and I know that rivalry becomes sweeter only when both teams are playing well.

Only Beckham has the right to talk about this guys playing for united, the rest like Rooney, scholes,Gary should stop complaining because they don’t have the right to do so because they are part of the problem, since they retired from football have they proved themselves in coaching, all they know how to do is talk ,criticize play the blame games, they should be the ones coaching United because they are ex united players stroke fans who knows the heart beat of the club and should be ones saving the image of the club and not the other way round because I see them as failures, they retired from playing football before Amorim did and Amorim has even proved that he can take the hits that comes with the coaching job and all United ex players do is shor shor shor.

I will say this again and again if Amorim came with his whole sporting squad we wouldn't have these kind of results we have dumb slow adapting players that's final
that's truth, cause his sporting FC players are ready to die for the badge unlike many Manchester United players
