Romelu Lukaku continued his fine international form with a double as Belgium eased to a 3-0 win over Scotland in Euro 2020 qualifying.
Belgium have now won four out of four matches in Group I after a victory in Brussels on Tuesday that rarely looked in doubt.
Manchester United forward Lukaku scored once in each half to make it 25 international goals in his last 21 appearances and in truth he should quite conceivably have finished with four or five to his name.

I don't exactly understand why it's a trend among most players to be flops with their clubs but beasts in their national teams. Look at Pogba, for example. Has struggled at United from when he first got there, but I can't exactly say the same for him at France. He's a different person with his national team. Lukaku is in an even worse position. But see what he did tonight for Belgium. Now people believe that United will regret selling him. But why didn't they have the same concerns for him during this shambolic season of his at Old Trafford? Why was he in such a form that United's midfielders scored more goals than United's attackers, and why would United consider selling him at all, if he's so good? I can't understand the discrepancy between club and country for some players - Pogba and Lukaku in particular.

with belgium lukaku almost always performs well. wonderful at Everton. its Man U's fault they are unable to get the best out of players like Lukaku. and its not just him, Sanchez too. and you cant say "they couldnt do it in epl" because both were studs fir their respective teams before joining utd
