Belgium's official social media: it's football, not soccer

After defeating the US team, the Belgian team's official social media account posted an update, mercilessly "trolling" the US team.

The Belgian team dominated the match, ultimately winning 4-1. Afterward, they posted on social media: "It's called FOOTBALL, not soccer." "Soccer" is the American term for "football," while Americans refer to American football as "football."

This meme emerged during the previous FIFA World Cup, when then-US President Biden posted a video cheering on the US team before their match against the Netherlands, saying: "It's called soccer, go USA!" The US team went on to lose 1-3 to the Netherlands, and afterward, then-Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte responded to Biden's post: "Sorry Joe (Joe Biden), but football won in the end."
