Jude Bellingham has given a damning assessment of Real Madrid's performance against Arsenal by admitting they were 'lucky' to only concede three in their Champions League quarter-final first leg.
The reigning European champions suffered a 3-0 loss at the Emirates to leave their title defence hanging by a thread.
Declan Rice produced two stunning second half free kicks to put Arsenal 2-0 up on the night, before Mikel Merino fired home a third for the hosts.
Real Madrid star Bellingham admitted post-match that the result could have been even worse for Los Blancos.
The England midfielder claimed the Spanish giants were 'nowhere near it' on the night and conceded they now need something 'unbelievably special' to turn the tie around.
'We were nowhere near it, that is the fact and Arsenal were really good,' Bellingham told Amazon Prime. 'Two of the goals are really good free kicks but to be honest they could have had way more.
'But there is a second leg, we are holding onto it, we will need something unbelievably special.
'You never know, but I cant come out and say we will give up, it’s not in the nature of the club and the mentality they instill in you.
'They [the free kicks] are two pieces of individual quality. If it wasn’t for them they still had a number of chances and we got punished and that happens.
'We had a chance but in these games you need to create more. Very rarely do you come here and score one and go through. We just didn’t do enough, got to the final third multiple times but they reacted well and we didn’t do enough with the ball.
'We are still alive, we still have 90 minutes.'

The real problem isn’t loosing against Arsenal, but the attitude of Real’s front. Checkout Inter’s last goal against Munich, Carlos Augusto passing the ball perfectly when 4 defenders enter the tight goalkeeper area. Guess what Vini would do in this sotuation or even Mbappe, they would shoot themselvey (and once more hit the goalkeeper). This is no team anymore, but a bunch of selfish clowns trying to get attention from the world as they believe they are the best, even by loosing they still don’t see the problem. I am huge Real fan but also a very open minded and realistic viewer. Vini is done, best to sell, Mbappe should be a left winger, Bellingham to be given a new attacking role, new midfielders to be bought, defenders: too many of their top players are injured, will take them months and months to be up to speed once they are back. Real has a BIG problem, you all can laugh. Ancelotti will leave soon
Keep dreaming, This is Arsenal. They fight for 90 minutes. They don't let go. Be scared , be very very scared because the Satiago Bernabitch is going to be quiet like a mortuary

Ever since he paid attention to the Saudi talks he’s been something else in the team and even I noticed that his teammates barely pass the ball to him, I can’t believe this is the same vini that most Madridsta wanted to win balon’d’or, I’m glad he’s showing his colors already and I hope Perez is wise enough not to sell rodrygo but vini, if we look at it he was no way near his best level yesterday and now his stupid performance is affecting the team, I just hope they have a plan for the second leg because that’s not the Madrid we know

A come back of 4 goals without Arsenal scoring back, that would be a miracle. Gunners are in control.
