Bettors believe that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side are set for another tough campaign despite the signing of Harry Maguire looking increasingly likely
As the new season edges closer bet365 have reported that they've taken more bets on Leicester City to win the Premier League title than Manchester United.
The 2015-16 top-flight winners are currently a 300/1 (301.0) chance to repeat their shock victory with United available at 25/1 (26.0).
This comes despite the Foxes are looking likely to lose one of their key players to the Red Devils in the coming days.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side are reportedly edging closer to signing Harry Maguire for around £80 million. Such a fee would make the England international the world's most expensive defender, ousting the £75 million Liverpool paid Southampton for the services of current Ballon d'Or favourite Virgil van Dijk.
United have already brought in Aaron Wan-Bissaka in an attempt to shore up a defence that conceded a club record 54 goals last term. Midfielder Daniel James has also arrived at Old Trafford from Swansea.
Regardless, bet365 have revealed that punters aren't willing to put their faith in Solskjaer's side at this stage, with Leicester one of the teams proving popular.
There seems to be a vulnerability about a couple of the bigger sides this season and many are looking at Leicester as one of the teams that could be competitive – with or without Maguire.
bet365's Steve Freeth said: “We’ve taken more bets on Leicester to win the Premier League than Manchester United, while we’ve also seen solid support for the Foxes in the ‘Top 4’, ‘Top 6’ and ‘Without the Big 6’ markets.”
The Foxes are currently available at 4/1 (5.0) for a top six finish, 16/1 (17.0) to claim a Champions League spot and 4/1 (5.0) to win the division "without the big six". This market is a wager on which team will finish highest discounting the two Manchester clubs, Liverpool, Tottenham, Arsenal and Chelsea.
Support for Brendan Rodgers' side isn't without logic. Having added Youri Tielemans, Ayoze Perez and James Justin to a youthful squad that finished ninth last term, further improvement is expected.
The East Midlands club were 14 points adrift of sixth place United in 2018-19, but with Rodgers replacing Claude Puel in the dugout punters are expecting another step forward from the Foxes.
Manchester City are firm favourites to retain their title, priced at 4/6 (1.67) with bet365. Liverpool are 9/4 (3.25) to go one better than last season's runner up spot while Tottenham (16/1) are ahead of Chelsea and United (both 25/1) in the betting. Arsenal complete the traditional "big six" at 40/1 (41.0).

I like this kind of report for one reason.....that may be Woodward and Co may see why they need to buy players and sell or loan out redundant players in the squad....... everyone is taking United for a ride and laughing stock.....then is like United Management and Glazer care less about the club success......very rediculous

You have the rights to air your views but I know Manchester united will be a better team next season. Not only because of the additions but the fight for European football and sponsors.

Can't Blame The Punters .., This Is What Things Are Right Now. All We Can Do Is To Prove Them Wrong In The Following Days Of The New Season.

we have to buy a center back, midfielder, forward (if lukaku leaves),another midfielder (if pogba leaves)...We can't expect those players who throw jose to the wolves will suddenly help ole...Give him the signings he want and then decide whether we can or we can't
