Bianchi: McTominay would've played in my team with Maradona and Careca

Bianchi, who was coach of Napoli's first Scudetto-winning team with Diego Maradona and Careca, saw the Azzurri draw with Inter Milan yesterday with McTominay scoring twice.

He told Radio Anchi'o Sport: "I enjoyed myself; I liked Inter-Napoli. It was an intense and fair match. Perhaps the two coaches won't be entirely satisfied; they're very demanding. But as an outside observer, it was a great show, with a good pace, similar to English matches.

"Being caught up like that, twice, isn't nice. But they faced a well-organized team; Napoli performed like a truly great team. Coming back twice at San Siro like that isn't something everyone can do.

"McTominay? We haven't seen a player like him in a long time. At Coverciano, he was once called a universal player: he can interpret the game defensively, in midfield, and even in scoring.

"He would have played for my Maradona-led Napoli: a player like that can play everywhere."
