Cristiano Ronaldo’s biographer claims he didn’t want to move this summer because “Juventus will never be Real Madrid”.
Guillem Balague, a Spanish journalist based in the UK, released a book about the Portuguese superstar in 2015, and an updated version is now on sale in Italy.
For the launch of the book he spoke to La Repubblica, and offered his take on this summer’s €100m transfer.
“Cristiano no longer felt loved by Real,” Balague opined.
“He didn’t just want more money, he wanted to be everything. I’m convinced that when he went to see Florentino Perez he expected a raise, not to be left to leave like that.
“Now he’ll have to lower expectations, but he’s already started to do it because Juventus will never be Real Madrid.”
Balague also offered a theory as to CR7’s motivations.
“I looked for the roots of his childhood, I spoke with the friends of his youth in Madeira. He was in a poor suburb where he grew up without the love of an alcoholic father, and I think that I understood that Ronaldo is still looking for that love he never received.
“He and [Leo] Messi are similar, their paths as children were similar, but the Argentine is smarter, more shrewd.
“Cristiano is more sincere, which means you also see his defects. Ronaldo seeks love but he doesn’t know how to be loved. He wants the team to serve him, whereas Messi serves the team.
“He had Alex Ferguson and then his agent, Jorge Mendes [as father figures], so I think that Cristiano is both the son and the father of many.
“Everyone in his house is a clan, and he takes care of his friends, sisters, mother, girlfriend, children and also his brother Hugo, who has had great problems with drug addiction.”
The journalist isn’t in that clan though, admitting that Ronaldo didn’t much care for his book.
“There’s a page in which I refer to something harsh he said about Messi,” Balague explained.
“Cristiano never forgave me, he decided I wasn’t one of ‘his own’. But I’m not a PR, I looked for the truth about a champion who I appreciate tremendously.
“I was there in Verona for the first match of the season. I met him, we’ve known each other for a lifetime, but he told me: ‘I’m not talking to you’.”

I'm having a hard time seeing Juventus as favorites as Ronaldo isn't consistent with his performances. I doubt if Juventus could help Ronaldo as much Real Madrid did when Ronaldo had it rough the last four games. Dybala and Ronaldo would have to be the best duo in the world in order for Juventus to win imo. Barcelona, City, PSG, Real Madrid all have as good or better squads than Juventus. Ronaldo could have scored 4 or 5 today. How much help does he need? Haha grow up Why do I need to grow up? What are you trying to say with your comment? When Ronaldo is having a rough time I don't think Juventus could help him as much Real Madrid did. Do I need to grow up for that? You maybe should read twice before writing. He's not consistent?! If Ronaldo is not consistent, who is? Hes not going to score hatricks right from his first game. He needs to adjust. Give him time. When have I ever written anything like that? I have no doubts he will be scoring more. Laughable comment, none of these have a better squad apart from Barca maybe You shouldn't write a laughable comment yourself. On Paper Real Madrid, Barca and even Liverpool got a better attack. The first two also got a much better midfield than Juventus. The only way for Juventus to win is to rely on Ronaldo to make a big impact every stage in the playoff which isn't likely. when has Ronaldo with Juve not played consistently in the ucl protip:never in history He started off worse last year and scored 15 in the CL And could not score in the last four games. When he was at Real Madrid there were always someone to help him out. I don't think that Juventus could help Ronaldo out as much Real Madrid did in that situation. He scored the penalty in the second leg of the quarters vs Juve. Didn’t score in the last 3. Well, make an impact may be a better word than "scoring" which I previously wrote. The luck that Madrid side have gotten most likely won't follow Ronaldo to Juventus.

Actually, all the madrista doesn't want cristiano Ronaldo to leave Real Madrid but he made his decision. So, we can't deny that fact. He leave Real Madrid because of problem between him and club especially perez.

every time people say the negative things about your quality you as an individual have. Ronaldo can't score yet he has scored Ronaldo catch hard time at Juve yet he's playing as if he's supper Human. Ronaldo is extra and let's note it and watch his performance instead of discrediting the ability he has.

Juventus simply don’t feed him enough at Real Madrid he was the target man that’s why he was scoring so much the teams priority is to pass to ronaldo as much as they can and Ronaldo would jus wait for the ball in the penalty box and tap in goals. The first 3 games he played he was just waiting for the ball. If he doesn’t get any chances he won’t do anything the whole game this last game he got lucky because the defender made an error trying to clear it but he hit the post and he got a lucky rebound Ronaldo should have had 4 goals he missed 2-3 easy chances that Ronaldo usually makes 90% of the time. Ronaldo hasn’t dribbled last 2 defenders and scored in the past 4 years probably longer then that, so simply if the team doesn’t feed him 6-7 chances a game he won’t score. Ronaldo took 28 shots to score 2 goals this season.

Perez doesn't know how to respect the true legends. He didn't want to restrict CR7 from leaving club. He gave everything to the club , the great victories, trophies, respect, loyalty than before. Now, Real is totally opposed to him. Juventus will rule in the entire Europe with the help of Cristiano. They 'd like to take best use of him from himself. Juventus know how to respect true legends. Ronaldo is perfect signing for juventus as he will prove this thing to the world. The goals everybody were waiting for has finally scored by him. Be aware haters and rivals...... He is coming - the king of UCL....#7 of course:-

There is a secret people don't know about Ronaldo. He's being followed around by the spirit of success wherever he goes. Man U wasn't the best when he won the UCL. Other clubs such as PSG ,Barca,Bayern,Juve etc were equally good yet 4 UCL in five years at Madrid. Portugal wasn't better than France and some other nations in Euro 16 when Portugal narrowly won the Cup,mind you Ronaldo didn't win the final but was part of the success. He breaks and sets records every week even in his30s. He's now in Juve already loved by the players and the coach.
