Borussia Dortmund star Donyell Malen has liked a comment on social media calling for Edin Terzic to get sacked.
The German side have lost their last two on the bounce and, after just 11 games, already find themselves 10 points off the pace in the Bundesliga. Dortmund haven't claimed league glory for over a decade and agonisingly missed out on the final day last term.
There appears to have been a slight hangover however and Terzic's position is being questioned despite his impressive efforts last year. Malen has been Dortmund's most utilised forward so far, scoring four times in all competition,s but has given a hint to his feelings on social media.
He like a post which read: "Kick Terzic in his a** so he gets fired“. The 41-year-old had previously served as Dortmund's interim boss before getting the job full time in May 2022. He boasts a 60 per cent win record but they've already failed to win five of their league games this term.
One of their recent losses came at the hands of Bayern, who continued their dominance over Dortmund by securing a 4-0 win at the home of their rivals with Harry Kane bagging a treble. German great Lothar Matthäus criticised Terzic's tactics after the loss and claimed their were "unsettled".
He wrote in his Sky Sports column : “Why did they play so cautiously against Bayern? When they did make bold forward runs, they looked decent at times. You can’t just play defensively against Bayern – or in Stuttgart. That’s not the DNA of this team.
“There were five or six attacking players on the pitch against Bayern, but Edin Terzic decided to stand compactly at the back and transition quickly after winning the ball. Dortmund had made friends with this tactic to some extent, at least the results had gone their way until the Bayern game. But they are not playing the kind of exciting football they used to.”
“The ability and quality are there. They have speed, experience, strength in tackles – the team can certainly perform differently, but it is unsettled.”
Dortmund have been unable to find continuity in the dugout for several years. Terzic is now into his second season but prior to that the likes of Marco Rose, Peter Stoger and Peter Bosz all failed to last a year.

That same tactic won him both games against newcastle and certainly will beat ac millan and qualify with to the next round
They better beat Milan. The only two clubs that should progress are Inter and Napoli with Napoli in the R16 getting elimination leaving Inter the only Italian team left remaining in the competition to win it😌

He has been doing a fantastic job and last season they nearly won league title only to fall in their last game . . . No one is perfect, we all have good and bad times but his effort has been well recorded and should be appreciated with how Dortmund sells off talent rather retaining it and with money power like Bayern but he made it till last fight with pride . . . Support you team in bad times like you support them in good times .Give him some time he will prove haters wrong and bring success

To be honest, the quality of Borussia Dortmund is not as good as that of Bayern Munich, Red Bull Leipzig and Bayer Leverkusen. I don't know if things will get better under a different coach
