Youssoufa Moukoko has been heavily linked to Manchester United but he's insisted his focus is on Borussia Dortmund.

Moukoko played at the World Cup for Germany in Qatar and he's now entering the final six months of his contract at Dortmund, which means he's able to negotiate a pre-contract agreement with overseas clubs from the start of January.

The youngster, who has scored six goals in the Bundesliga this season, celebrated his 18th birthday in November and he's one of Germany's most exciting prospects, which explains the reports linking him with moves to United, Chelsea and Barcelona.

However, Moukoko has urged supporters to ignore those links by insisting that his focus remains on Borussia Dortmund.

“Please don’t believe everything that’s in the newspaper. I know it is all part of the football business now, but even though I’m still young, I won’t let myself be put under pressure about the future," Moukoko recently wrote on social media.

“My full focus is on the second half of the season and it’s about Borussia Dortmund. No player is bigger than the club.

"I am not, and will never be, bigger than the club and in the end, I am only a small part of it. It’s really sad that nowadays you can bring something like that out into the world and give you the wrong picture of me. It’s really, really sad. I’m still shocked by the reports.”

United will look to sign a striker in the January transfer window, which opens on January 1.
