Chelsea failed to score for a second consecutive Premier League match as they were held to a goalless draw at Bournemouth. They ended the game indebted to goalkeeper Robert Sanchez for two excellent saves which prevented this being a more costly trip to the south coast.
Match Report
Mauricio Pochettino's threadbare side, which featured six players on the bench who had not made a top-flight appearance, were unable to bounce back from their 1-0 defeat at home to Nottingham Forest and played out the first goalless draw of the season.
The first half quickly slipped into a familiar pattern for Chelsea – them dominant but lacking sharpness in front of goal to benefit from all their possession and having to be wary of switching off at the other end.
Nicolas Jackson hit a post in the first-half but Chelsea had Robert Sanchez to thank for making a fine save to deny Bournemouth's Dango Ouattara.
The visitors went even closer in the second half, seeing Raheem Sterling's free-kick come back off the cross bar and Levi Colwill's follow-up ruled out for offside to leave them languishing in the bottom half with five points from five games.
Bournemouth are still waiting for their first three points under new manager Andoni Iraola but this was a better one for them than Chelsea.

I acknowledge the fact that our injury list is affecting us massively but today's game was utterly disappointing. Pochetino isn't bad, even the players displayed today are good players but we're still not getting it right,so I'll go on and say it,we need to go back and apologize to Roman How could we have drawn today's game, just take a look at the list of injured players,I don't know how to put it but this ain't ordinary, five games, five points, wtf is going on,this is Chelsea we're talking about guys,we don't hope to win,we win that's just how it is.tired of getting disappointed every weekend,it's like a bad marriage......🙏🙏💙💙💙
