Watford midfielder Bove returned to Italy and attended the 80th anniversary celebration of his childhood club, Boreale. At the anniversary celebration, he spoke about his former club, Roma.
In the morning, Bove attended Boreale's 80th anniversary celebration in Camilluccia and then sent his best wishes to Roma, who are striving for a Champions League spot: "I hope Roma can get into the Champions League, for the fans of this city, and for my former teammates. Yesterday's game against Parma was very important, and Roma has been doing its best to pursue the best results. Gasperini has a clear coaching philosophy and is leading the team to a wonderful season."
"The city derby? Next Saturday is my birthday, and I hope Roma can give me a birthday gift... I'm not sure if I'll be there to watch. I keep in touch with former teammates from Fiorentina and Roma. I also keep in touch with Mourinho, and I will never forget the time we spent together. And Dybala, the star has always taken care of me and is one of the best players I have ever worked with."
Bove admitted that he was very fortunate to be able to make football the focus of his life again. He talked about his time at Watford: "I have adapted well to London and have gained a new experience. English football is different from Serie A in style, with a more direct style of play, more long passes, and less emphasis on delicate passing and control."
"The level of competition in Serie A is very high, and I do not rule out the possibility of returning in the future. I chose Watford because I wanted to challenge myself in a new environment. Although I have not been able to get enough playing time consistently, this experience as a whole is very valuable, and this English club has given me the opportunity to start again, and I am very proud of it."
