A small piece for Messi fans It was 14th of July 2014 when Argentina played that world cup final. Led by Alejandro Sabella,the albiceleste were in scintillating form but the opponents were mighty Germans. I remember asking my dad to wake me up when the match starts, I was just 13 at that time. But somehow my dad didn't have to wake me up, I woke up myself 5 minues before the match, such was my love for Argentina and Messi. I don't exactly remember the specifics of that match but I remember the gotze goal in the 113th minute that made Germany the world champions. At 13, I first realized what true heartbreak was like. For a moment, you feel like being choked, you can't breathe and the tears won't stop. Even as I am writing this I can't stop my tears. I got up, went to bed and cried all night. I had never felt sadder. The year passed and the following years of 2015,2016 Argentina again lost two consecutive finals. Messi decided to retire. As a fan I wanted him to return but as his ardent lover, I didn't want him to. I didn't want him to return to hell. I didn't want him to face the allegations and hurtful comments that he didn't deserve. I didn't want him to be burned at the stake. But he did, for his countrymen, for his fans. He was literally burnt at the stake by the media, by his countrymen, by his haters. He took it all in silently because he was this little boy from a little town called Rosario. He guided his team to the world cup 2018 all singlehandedly but there's a limit to what he can do. Argentina was eliminated in RO16 in the world cup but they didn't go down without putting up a fight. The pain returned but we including Messi suffered it silently. Messi's bad fate isn't limited to the international scene, its the same in the club scene where he doesn't have capable teammates to complement his immense talent but still he took the team singlehandedly to a treble. Only luck didn't want him to win it and he fell short by two matches. Today Argentina got knocked out by Brazil, Messi won't admit it but he is broken from the inside. Even after doing so much for his country, he is seen as a traitor, criminal. For me as his ardent lover, I will still be looking forward to every match that he plays because what he does isn't football, but the art of the highest order. Art for which we live, art for which we breathe. He may lose another million titles but my love for him can only increase. Next season, I will again keep my alarm clocks ready, destroy my sleep cycle just to get a glimpse of my little man doing magic. They taught me to love "GOD" with everything you have, I am trying to do just that.

Yea we lost but as a fan of the lovely sport I can say it was a great match. Competitive, edge to edge, aggressive with lots of skillful attributes. Argentina was unfortunate in-front of goal while Brazil was clinical. I’m sure that US football fans have players on both teams that they love and support that plays in different leagues and different clubs all over, and it was great to watch them all battle it out on the field.. they played better Brazil beside losing. i hope this game teach Lionel a lesson on putting top players on bench. this was a game that they needed to put all the top quality in since first half.i didnt see Dybala, he put Di Maria on second half. if they were in since first half, the game would been different they could have scored even one or just tied. we have seen a lot chance they've missed that could've been scored. with Dybala, Di Maria, Aguero and Messi they could've scored or maybe win nor tie the game. these games requires top players top qualities and Argentina have them all but they cant use them because there coach is stupid and is a game seller.

Messi played well,but the issue is that the Argentina team don't understand themselves, a lot of mistakes in passing,they were like doing practice. Meanwhile,their coach is the main brain behind their failure by benching some players that's not supposed and making late change while loosing game.He should have start Di Maria and Dybala. For me,it seems like as the players don't understand themselves system of playing, also the coach doesn't knows them and the appropriate position to fix them . Argentina national team both players and the coach are full of confusion, and thoroughly overhaul is needed to carry out in Argentina team.if possible,the coach can be sacked because he's the no one problem of the team.

Well deserved defeat Argentina. Either you don't play with Messi or he plays at his rightful position. He keeps on carrying the ball from Argentina's half of the field to build game, like what's the purpose of the midfield?. If he's to play like that, he should be put in the midfield role and Dybala at left wing, at least Dybala would respect his positioning. He's the best player, but I've never seen a player in the history of football over exaggerated his role as captain as Messi does and succeeded.
