Brazil will begin the World Cup in high spirits after they defeated Egypt 2-1 in their final warm-up match.

Endrick's second-half strike secured victory for Carlo Ancelotti's side after Bruno Guimaraes' earlier goal was cancelled out by Mostafa Zico, with both players benefiting from errors at Huntington Bank Field.

Brazil went ahead after just seven minutes as Guimaraes dispossessed Mohanad Lasheen on the edge of his own box before coolly slotting into the bottom-right corner.

However, just four minutes later, Marquinhos played a blind pass back to Alisson, which was intercepted by Zico, who showed great composure himself to score past the Liverpool goalkeeper.

Brazil had plenty of chances to restore their lead before half-time, but Vinicius Junior, Raphinha and Igor Thiago were all denied by Mostafa Shobeir in the Egypt goal.

Ancelotti made eight substitutions at half-time, and they paid off as Endrick scored just minutes after coming off the bench, sweeping home from Raphinha's cutback after brilliant work from the Barcelona man on the left wing.

Strength in depth for Ancelotti

After failing to score in six World Cup qualifying matches, 19-year-old Endrick proved his worth for Ancelotti with his winner shortly after his entrance in this friendly contest.

The former Real Madrid boss has plenty of attacking talent to work with, as Raphinha, who created the joint-most chances (two) and attempted the most dribbles (five), starred while the likes of Vinicius and Matheus Cunha also threatened in either half.

Naturally, a lot of the talk ahead of Brazil's World Cup opener against Morocco on June 13 will be about the fitness of Neymar, but it is clear Ancelotti's attack can survive without the Santos man, with Gabriel Martinelli also appearing after his celebrations with Arsenal.

Overall, Brazil accumulated 1.81 expected goals (xG) from 12 shots compared to Egypt's 0.4 from five attempts in Cleveland.

Egypt suffered their first defeat since losing to Nigeria in the third-place play-off of the Africa Cup of Nations in January, with their next game being their World Cup opener against Belgium on June 15.
