MANCHESTER CITY threw away a two-goal lead against Brentford in a night that added to manager Pep Guardiola's woes.
Match Report
Manchester City missed the chance to move up the Premier League table after they were pegged back to a 2-2 draw by Brentford.
Phil Foden, who was the hat-trick hero when the sides met at the Gtech Community Stadium last season, struck twice in the second half to put Pep Guardiola's side on course for a fourth straight win in all competitions.
The England midfielder broke the deadlock when he volleyed in Kevin De Bruyne's cross shortly after Mikkel Damsgaard was denied by the offside flag, before doubling the lead from close range in the 78th minute.
However, the hosts refused to lie down and Yoane Wissa, who was denied by Nathan Ake on the line earlier on, pulled a goal back in the 82nd minute to set up a grandstand finish.
Then, in the second minute of stoppage time, Christian Norgaard headed in Keane Lewis-Potter's cross to snatch a share of the spoils for Thomas Frank's side.
Things nearly got even better for the Bees in the dying moments with Ake forced to head clear Bryan Mbeumo's effort.
City sit sixth in the table, having failed to capitalise on Newcastle United not playing until Wednesday. Meanwhile, Brentford moved up to 10th following their dramatic fightback that saw them avert a fourth successive home defeat across all competitions.
Data Debrief: Landmark Wissa goal sparks Bees' fightback
City have now dropped 14 points from winning positions in the Premier League this season, which is their highest total in a league campaign under Guardiola.
Foden had put the Citizens in a commanding position after taking his goal tally against Brentford to seven, only netting more against Brighton in the Premier League (eight).
However, Wissa's landmark goal sparked the Bees' revival. The forward became the club's all-time leading Premier League scorer with his 37th strike moving him past Ivan Toney (36).
Norgaard then equalised with Brentford's seventh goal from the 90th minute onwards in the English top flight this term, more than any other side.

what has Jeremy Doku did to Pep? huh? and nobody should start bringing tactics shit talks because it's very obvious that whenever Doku is in City's game they're more dangerous, the opponents tend to be more cautious when going for the offensive. imagine how good Savinho was today and how he'll thrive even better if Doku is on the other side of the pitch. Apart from players like Ilkay,Nuneus and Akanji that are useless of late, Pep too is fucking annoying and sometimes a bit sentimental just to prove a point.
