Bruno Fernandes was back in Portugal watching his former team Sporting Lisbon on Sunday.

The new Manchester United signing made his debut against Wolves on Saturday in a 0-0 draw at Old Trafford.

A day later and he was back in Portugal watching his former side side lose to Braga without him.

Fernandes moved to United at the end of January transfer window in a deal worth up to £68million.

The Portugal international could not inspire the Red Devils to victory on a promising debut as the Premier League clash with Wolves ended goalless.

Fernandes took up an advanced central position behind centre forward Anthony Martial.

The United midfielder was prepared to drop deep when necessary and also drifted out to the right to pick up possession or push forward.

He looked comfortable in his new surroundings and often got into position to shoot.

Fernandes also did the simple things well, always looking for the ball and keeping the team moving with short passes.

He also showed his eye for through balls and long passes, although they did not always come off.
