Bruno Fernandes says he's ready to talk to Sporting Lisbon about a transfer away should the right club come calling.
Speaking to Sport Mediaset, Fernandes: "I know nothing, I will take the next few days to understand what is true.
"We know that newspapers sometimes have to make a show to move the market and sell. I'm calm, I'm at a big club. I don't need to move, I'm not trying to leave.
"If the opportunity comes to go to a team that you can't refuse, I'll talk to Sporting."
Fernandes spent much of his early career playing in Italy with Novara, Udinese and Sampdoria before returning home to Portugal with Sporting.
On a possible return to Italy to represent Inter Milan, Fernandes added: "I had a great time in Italy, I still watch the Italian championship: both Inter and the others, I follow them all.
"I do not know if their interest is true, but Inter are a great team, they have history.
"They have a great coach who has made history with Juventus, he has done well with their national team, but the other teams will strengthen as well."

I rate Bruno Fernandes, but I don't know why we are in for him. A midfield with Pogba and him is unbalanced, and we have Fred who we also don't know where exactly to play him. It just seems like a signing simply because of the name, instead of looking for a balanced team.

Fernandes is actually better in defence than you might think. He seems to be someone who tracks back and would be perfect for that sort of transitional playmaker role alongside a more attacking midfielder like Pogba and then a defensive midfielder

Manchester United don't have to be nervous. Missing a good player doesn't affect them. After all, Manchester United will miss a lot of good players.

As a midfielder, Bruno can score more than 30 goals in a season, which is really a treasure for Manchester United who has insufficient offensive firepower!

Manchester United are close on signing me, but my wife needs to agree.
