Gianluigi Buffon reportedly risks being handed a domestic ban for his outbursts after Juventus’ defeat to Real Madrid.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Buffon could be facing a timed suspension if referee Michael Oliver was ‘very harsh’ in his report and UEFA’s disciplinary panel decides to assess his criticism of the Englishman to the Press.
The goalkeeper is quoted as branding Oliver ‘out of his depth, ‘heartless’, an ‘animal’ and with a ‘rubbish bin’ for a heart after he was sent off for dissent during Juve’s last-gasp Champions League exit to Real Madrid, who were awarded an injury-time penalty on Wednesday.
However, it remains to be seen whether the 40-year-old will even serve a ban as he is being tipped to hang up his gloves at the end of the season.

That would be a reward well deserved. He criticized a ref. for not having a heart while he's behaving as someone not having a brain.

He deserves the ban. He is a 40 years old experienced goalkeeper. He has seen it all in the game. He shouldn't have allowed his emotions get the best of him. If this was probably a goalkeeper with lesser reputation, he might have already been banned for all the hurtful comments he made, so because it's Buffon, doesn't means he should be treated otherwise.

Everyone's talking about UEFA and the referee being a cheat. These are just some examples of how the ref tried to handle the game as best as possible. 1. The block on Ronaldo after he nutmegged a Juventus player went without a card. Even though it was a possible counter attack if he had gone through. 2. Another block on Ronaldo in the penalty area that in the ref's opinion was a strong challenge. (It would have been awarded in some cases) 3. The third goal scored by Juventus could have been called off as a foul on Navas who looked to have been hit by Matuidi. This was a clear chance to alert Real Madrid of the threat Juventus posed if they didn't attack and score back.( If the ref had cancelled out the goal). 4. This one was beyond the central referee control. The cancellation of Isco's goal for offside. This has been one talking point that everyone especially non Real Madrid fans have been avoiding. Replay shows the when Ronaldo kicked the ball, Isco was almost level with chelini in the onside position. If that goal hadn't been cancelled,Real would have been levelled and that would've killed Juventus game with them knowing they now would need another three goals and also try to prevent Real from scoring another. That would have been a game off for Juventus right there. These are just points to enlighten those blinded by jealousy of Real Madrid. And to turn the talking point away from the clear penalty awarded to Real Madrid. I accept any reply whatsoever. Thanks to all those who have been enlightened by reading this.
