Burnley boss Sean Dyche admits he fears for the future of the game after one of English football's most exciting prospects, 18-year-old Chelsea winger Callum
Hudson-Odoi was booked for diving in a 4-2 win for his side.
The teenage sub vaulted between Burnley defenders Matt Lowton and James Tarkowski in the closing minutes at Turf Moor but referee Michael Oliver's initial decision to award a penalty was overturned by VAR and led to the Chelsea youngster receiving a yellow card.
Dyche, who has been a long-time campaigner against simulation, raged: 'It is shambolic how people dive about the place and we were told by the Premier League the worst you can get is a yellow card, so everyone has a chance to cheat once again and not get sent off.
'I keep hearing the word respect, and I get shot down for saying this, but players should respect the game. They have got to do something more (than bookings). I feel worse it is a young player doing it.
'They are the future and if they are diving now, we have massive trouble now in five or 10 years. We didn't use to accept it. Now we do and I am the only who goes on about it.'
However, Chelsea boss Frank Lampard disputed that his player had dived despite the caution.
'If I felt like it was a dive I would address it and speak to Callum but I don't think it as clean cut as that when you are moving into the box at pace and cutting across defenders.'
He also suggested that Dyche's Burnley aren't angels either.
'There were a lot of things happening today. These things do still happen all over football. Their bench wanted something every time Ashley Barnes fell to the ground.'
Hudson-Odoi signed a new five-year contract with Chelsea earlier this season after attracting strong interest from Bayern Munich and was named in England's last under-21 squad.

This man should learn to congratulate his opponent when he looses. You were deservedly beaten at your own backyard and you are talking rubbish. Burnley is no match to Chelsea so he should shut up and learn from his boss super Frankie lampard

funny enough!! odoi never dived, he was pushed, I wonder what VAR referees watch in EPL, during the replay it was clear odoi was pushed he even told the referee, yet VAR said they watched it and it's was a dive, even the first goal they scored, pulisic was fouled and VAR didn't call play back, something that won't happen in Italy, EPL VAR only see what they want to see
