Leicester City have officially confirmed that defender Harry Maguire has signed a new contract, keeping him at King Power Stadium until June 2023.

Since signing from Hull City in the summer of 2017, the 25-year-old England international has quickly developed into a key player for the Foxes and is now widely regarded as one of the best defenders in the Premier League.

Harry played every minute of Leicester City’s 2017/18 Premier League campaign on his way to winning the Club’s Player of the Season and Players’ Player of the Season Awards, as well as a place in England’s World Cup squad. Maguire’s exceptional performances continued throughout England’s FIFA World Cup campaign in Russia, with the defender’s goal against Sweden helping to send the Three Lions to the semi-finals for the first time since 1990.

Speaking to LCFC TV, Harry said: 'Ever since I came to this Club, I’ve always reiterated how good they’ve been to me.'

'They gave me an opportunity to play in the Premier League and built a great platform for me to go and perform at the World Cup, so I thank them a lot. I owe them a lot and I’m looking forward to the future.'
