In the 7th round of the EPL, Chelsea beat Liverpool 2-1 at home, and Caicedo scored a wonderful long-distance shot in the first half. In an interview with The Sun, Caicedo said that he is still far from what Kante or Makelele achieved at Chelsea.

Caicedo told The Sun that he has been working hard to improve his long-range shooting skills, with four of his seven Chelsea goals coming from outside the penalty area, but insisted that he is still a long way from some of Chelsea's all-time greats.

Caicedo said: "I want to score goals to help the team. It was a great goal, I told myself I had to score a goal from outside the box this season and I did! The fans love me and that's great, but I'm nowhere near what Kante or Makelele achieved at Chelsea. They achieved so much. I will continue to work hard. I want to be a legend here."

Speaking about Estevan, who scored the winner for Chelsea, Caicedo was full of praise for the young Brazilian: "Esteban scored and it's a fantastic feeling. He's done a great job here and we're very happy for him. You can see it on the pitch, even in training, he is very good and shows his qualities. We try to help him because the Premier League is very different from the Brazilian league, but he is making a huge impact.
Speaking about Chelsea's title prospects this season, Caicedo said, "It's too early to say we will win the title. But we definitely want to win the Premier League title. We will take it one step at a time because the Premier League is tough, but we will do our best. It's very frustrating when a player is injured, but we need to rely on the players we have to fulfil our goals. At the moment, we are doing well. When you beat strong teams it is very important for us, for our confidence and today we did that. We need to be consistent. We've shown our quality, shown our character on the pitch. Now we want to keep it going.
