Camavinga and the supposed spat with Vinicius: “Leave him alone”

No argument, no anger, nothing of the sort. Real Madrid player Eduardo Camavinga personally moved to shut down a video that had gone viral over the past few hours, and which had further fueled the controversy surrounding Vinicius after the game against Sevilla.

The Brazilian left the pitch to whistles from the Bernabéu and later changed his Instagram profile picture, replacing an image of himself in a Real Madrid shirt with one wearing Brazil’s colors.

As if there were not enough noise already, a clip from Spanish TV show El día después began circulating on social media. In the footage, several Madrid players are seen exchanging views during a break in play. One of them is Camavinga, who can be heard saying to a teammate, “If you don’t move, you’ll lose the ball.” As soon as he finishes the sentence, the camera cuts to Vinicius, leading many to assume the comment was aimed at him.

This was followed by a tweet that read as follows:

Camavinga: “If you don’t move, you’ll lose the ball.”

Bellingham: “Calm down, calm down.

Camavinga angered by the attitude of Vinicius on some plays.

Camavinga responded directly to the post on X: “Leave him alone. I wasn’t talking about him.” The message served as a clear public show of the unity inside the Real Madrid dressing room during a difficult stretch of the season and, in particular, of the support Vinícius has from his teammates.
