'Capable of everything' – PSG hero Kvaratskhelia lauds Chelsea thrashing

Khvicha Kvaratskhelia says Paris Saint-Germain are "capable of everything" after hammering Chelsea to seize control of their Champions League quarter-final hopes.

Kvaratskhelia came off the bench to score twice after assisting Vitinha's 74th-minute lob that put PSG 3-2 ahead at the Parc des Princes on Wednesday.

The Georgian's late double ensured Luis Enrique's side will return to Stamford Bridge with a 5-2 aggregate lead, despite Chelsea twice levelling through Malo Gusto and Enzo Fernandez either side of half-time.

"I'm very happy I can help the team, but I'm happier that we won against Chelsea because they are a good team," Kvaratskhelia said.

"I think we showed today that we are capable of everything. We just have to continue like this.

"We conceded two goals, and we can see the mistakes we made, but we are happy with a three-goal victory. We will focus now on the next game."

Barcola had earlier opened the scoring with his first Champions League goal since February 2025 against Brest, ending a run of 17 appearances without scoring in the competition.

Ousmane Dembele then restored PSG's lead after Gusto's 28th-minute leveller, and despite Fernandez firing home after the break, the late Kvaratskhelia show sent the defending champions out of sight.

And it was a champions' worthy performance in front of goal, with PSG scoring five goals from nine attempts, the joint-fewest shots by any side to score five or more goals in a Champions League game since detailed data collection began by Opta in 2003-04.

"We had prepared well for this match, we knew we had to bring intensity very quickly," Barcola told Canal+.

"We conceded goals due to small errors, we will have to correct that, but overall it was very good.

"Physically, we have been in good shape for a while now, I don't think that was the problem, we were very good today.

"I was happy with my goal, I work to score in the Champions League, this goal feels good."
