In a recent interview with ON Sport, Fabio Capello discussed his assessment of Cristiano Ronaldo. He stated that he has always considered CR7 a great player, but Pelé, Maradona, Ronaldo, and Messi are on a different level.

Capello answered unequivocally: “No.”
He explained: “CR7 is a great striker, an outstanding finisher, but he doesn’t possess the technical talent those players have. I’m talking about that innate talent, which you don’t see in CR7. He’s an exceptional athlete, a phenomenal winner, and a top striker. But the phenomenal talent and ability shown by Maradona, Messi, and Ronaldo—I’ve never seen that in CR7. Those players possess a significantly higher, absolutely superior quality technically. That’s undeniable.”
Capello concluded: “CR7 is excellent, a great player, and I was happy he played for my team because he had the ability to decide games and score goals. But he can’t be discussed on the same level as those players.”
