Carlo Ancelotti hits back at complaints over Bayern Munich's disallowed goal

Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti insists Bayern Munich have no right to feel aggrieved over their disallowed goal in Wednesday's dramatic Champions League semi-final as his side also had one unfairly chalked off.

Ancelotti's side were in serious trouble when Alphonso Davies gave Bayern the lead in the tie with a brilliant strike in the second half.

However, Madrid pulled of another miraculous comeback as Joselu came off the bench to score twice in the space of three minutes as the game entered injury time.

The visiting side nearly took the game to extra-time as Matthijs de Ligt swept the ball home in the 13th minute of added time, only for it to be disallowed due to a dubious offside in the build up.

De Ligt and manager Thomas Tuchel expressed their outrage at the decision after the game but Ancelotti has reminded fans that his side were also on the wrong end of a controversial bit of officiating.

Madrid thought they had equalised minutes after Davies broke the deadlock as Nacho turned Federico Valverde's shot into the net.

Joshua Kimmich immediately went down claiming a push from Nacho in the build up, with the Bayern players rushing the referee claiming a foul and the VAR agreeing that there had been one.

Speaking after the game, he said: 'Bayern complained about the offside? Ok, so we complain about the cancelled goal of Nacho… because Kimmich dived'.

'If they complain about that then we can complain about our goal that was disallowed. Both players were pushing each other and it's Nacho who gets penalised.'
